TA-10232 REG: Advancing Just Energy Transition in Asia and the Pacific – Support for Green Energy Buyers and Investment in Indonesia
The primary objective of this assignment is to support IETJO’s program to promote the use of green energy (renewable energy) in Indonesia’s industrial and commercial sectors. This will be achieved through the following:
- Undertake a green energy demand mapping exercise to quantify potential industrial and commercial demands for green energy.
- Undertake an analysis of barriers and opportunities for improving access for the industrial and commercial sectors to clean energy. This will include conducting focus group discussions.
- Prepare targeted strategies for specific industrial and commercial sectors to increase access to clean energy (both captive and non-captive). This will involve preparing an Industry Guideline to Accessing Green Energy in Indonesia.
- Engage potential and existing industrial and commercial companies interested in investing in Indonesia through a set of targeted Green Energy Buyers forums. This will foster partnerships and dialogue, increasing demand for renewable energy from domestic and international industrial and commercial investors.
- Provide targeted dissemination activities for key energy stakeholders.
