Sustainable Energy for Indonesia’s Advancing Resilience (SINAR)
Castlerock was the largest single subcontractor under the SINAR program. In addition to providing four full-time staff positions including the Deputy Chief of Party for the program with responsibilities for overall program planning, management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting, Castlerock also led activities for:
- Analysis of requirements for participation in the Singapore power market, financial analysis of various configurations of Indonesia projects to export power to Singapore, and assessment of opportunities for Indonesia to earn non-tax state revenue from the exports as an input to policy making by MEMR.
- Development of new processes in PLN for investment prioritization and capital allocation across the entire group to drive capital efficiency and better align with government policies and PLN strategic objectives.
- Design of an energy-focused trust fund within PT SMI, Indonesia’s state-owned non-bank financial institution.
- Preparation of a strategy for a PLN subsidiary to pursue business opportunities in the electric vehicle ecosystem.
