Indonesia Repowering Due Diligence

Castlerock was assigned by a private developer to conduct the followings:

  • Power and Gas Market Reviews. Assisting in data collection on the existing and future power market.
  • Assessment Study on Existing Power Plants. Assisting in data collection including current plants and their configurations, fuel types, load factors and other characteristics as required for screening curve, dispatch stacks and dispatch modelling, Identification of any significant advantages of disadvantages of selected sites for repowering. Identification of any significant advantages of disadvantages of selected sites for repowering projects including environmental and social suitability, presence of existing facilities and infrastructure and ease of access to fuel supply and power evacuation lines.
  • Techno-Economic Study of Repowering Projects. Prepared conceptual design (unit sizes and configuration; site location using Google Maps or similar; specification of cooling water, gas pipeline and power evacuation infrastructure needs) for repowering projects. Reviewed and comment on cost estimates for repowering projects using these conceptual designs as an input. Prepared an indicative project implementation schedule and strategy, taking account of Indonesian planning, approvals and permitting requirements and of existing site conditions.
