Olivia Tanujaya

Senior Research Analyst


Olivia has more than two decades of experience in energy, environmental and climate change sector, providing services from policy research, project development and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. Current assignment at Castlerock is as Senior Research Associate for the ADB-PLN Results-Based Lending Program for the expansion of electricity distribution in Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Maluku and Papua (previously also in Sumatera) since 2019 and as Technical Consultant FCO UK – Indonesia Low Carbon Energy Program.

Previously, she was an energy specialist (consultancy-based) for the World Bank at Jakarta office from 2008 to 2017 for various gas and renewable energy projects, working closely with several Ministries and SOEs. Between 2001 and 2008, her work mostly focused on climate change issues, particularly carbon projects development, climate impact and adaptation assessment and carbon trading modelling. Prior to that, she conducted several environmental economic research for University of Indonesia.

She holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from University of Indonesia. She also took training courses on energy and environmental policy (University of Delaware, USA), gas regulation (Energy Resources Conservation Board, Canada), climate and health (National Center for Atmospheric Research, USA), System Dynamics (Institute Technology of Bandung), and Computable General Equilibrium (University of Indonesia). She has experience in several countries such as: Indonesia, Malaysia, and USA.
