Iwan is a Senior Advisor with Castlerock. He brings more than 25 years experience working with leading multinational companies in Indonesia, principally in finance and infrastructure.

Over the past 15 years he has focused on the energy sector, including development of power plants and white products pipelines on a PPP basis. As part of the senior management team in the Bakrie Group of companies, he was responsible for project development and structuring, corporate finance, and dealing with government regulation in various infrastructure companies. Among other roles, he served as team leader in negotiation teams for infrastructure projects with different parts of the Government of Indonesia. He was the chief of the negotiation team with PLN, the Indonesian national electric utility, for several IPP projects, and has worked to develop power generation, telecoms and ports projects in Australia, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Since moving to consulting, he has served as deputy team leader and financial specialist for an assignment to help the Government of Indonesia establish the Public Private Partnership Central Unit (P3CU), and has assisted PLN Geothermal with the formulation of its corporate strategy. Prior joining to Castlerock, his last corporate positions were as CEO of Bakrie Power and Deputy Director of Infrastructure Division for the Bakrie Group.

Iwan received a MBA in International Business and Finance from Saint Louis University, USA and a BSc in Chemical Engineering, Institute Technology of Bandung, Indonesia.
