Mahar is a consultant of Castlerock Consulting with experience in both conventional and renewable electrical energy sectors, particularly in power system interface with power generation projects. His work prior to Castlerock featured grid impact and interconnection studies of Coal-Fired, Hydropower, Solar Photovoltaic, Wind, and Hybrid Power (such as Photovoltaic–Diesel–Battery or Wind–Battery) generation projects located in Indonesia.
He believes that clean and renewable energy will become one of three important commodities in welcoming the future, apart from material technology and data science & analytics. Clean and renewable energy development is also in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pioneered by United Nations. According to Mahar, it has and always be exciting moment to be a part of Indonesia’s energy sector development, both in technology and regulation aspects. He is confident that the three main goals of future electricity will eventually be achieved on a large scale, which are decentralization, decarbonization, and digitization (3-D).
Mahar received his B.Sc. (2018) and M.Sc. (2019) in Electrical Power Engineering from School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia
