The pigmentation allows the ink to be incredibly water resistant, as well as contributes to the intense shading of the ink. Despite being a pigmented ink, the color itself is slightly unsaturated. Due to the pigment particles contained in this ink, it is recommended cleaning your fountain pen more often than you would with a dye based ink.
